Universal Cover Tape (UCT)

Universal cover tape no longer relies on the adhesive force of glue to control the peel strength. Instead, it uses precise mechanical processing to cut two deep grooves in the base film of the cover tape. During peeling, the tape tears along the grooves, making the peel strength independent of the adhesive force and only influenced by the groove depth and the mechanical strength of the film. This ensures consistent peel strength. Additionally, since only the middle part of the cover tape is peeled off during removal while the edges remain adhered to the sealing line of the carrier tape, it also reduces contamination of equipment and components by residual adhesive and debris.
