The base material of the cover tape is polyester (PET) film. Such polymer materials are highly insulating in nature and prone to accumulating static charges. To address this issue, a treatment method involving coating with an anti-static heat-sealing adhesive is employed. A layer of anti-static heat-sealing adhesive coating is applied on the surface of the cover tape. The role of this coating is to lower the surface resistance, enabling static charges to leak quickly.
